Felicity's Baptism

We were so blessed to have the priest that married us, drive in to baptize Felicity. He is such an amazing example of Christ's love. During the ceremony, he had everyone in attendance say how they were going to support Felicity's faith life. Our friends and family said the most beautiful and inspirational things, bringing Kenneth and I to tears. What an amazing day!

And people were bringing children to him that he might touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this he became indignant and said to them, "Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it." Then he embraced them and blessed them, placing his hands on them.          Mark 10:13-16
The bonnet she wore was the same one I wore when I was baptized.
Felicity loves her cousins.
The two different oils used were the oil of catechumens (representing protection and healing from sin) and the oil of chrism (representing the presence of the Holy Spirit)
Father Steven asked for 4 volunteers to read Scripture. My mom, Kenneth's mom, Jessica, and Gina all did a wonderful job!

Nathan and Sarah Beth are going to be amazing Godparents :)

We had everyone over at our house afterward for brunch.

She was exhausted after a long blessed day!

Felicity is 3 weeks old!

I can't believe it has been three whole weeks since the Lord blessed us with our beautiful baby daughter. She has already grown and changed so much! Kenneth and I feel so lucky to have a child of God with us everyday. We also realized how extremely blessed we are to have such amazing family and friends, who have supported our new family from day one. God is truly a faithful and loving Father. Here are some pictures from the first 3 weeks of her life!

 Right after birth!

Proud daddy holding her for the first time.

Day two, already a pro at poising for pictures.

 Ready to go home!

Coming home for the first time, Felicity even got a tour of the house.

GiGi with Felicity for the first time.

 Felicity's first bath at home!

First Sunday mass, Felicity was so good the whole time.

Kenneth is a pro at being a Daddy!

Meeting baby Jackson for the first time.

Second Sunday mass, Felicity slept through the whole thing :)

Already putting her horns up, future longhorn!!

First doctor's visit, Dr. Nguyen said she was perfect :)
Mommy and Daddy taking Felicity out for a stroll around the neighborhood.

Her first UT game!!! We did not have tickets but still wanted to be on campus for the game, so we watched the game at the alumni center. It was so much fun :)

Her first time at the family lakehouse in Lakeway!

Felicity with Great-grandpa Austin, she was so comfy that she fell asleep for an hour in his arms!

Our family swinging away on the porch. We loved visiting the lakehouse!

Babymoon

Kenneth and I were very blessed to sneak away this past weekend up to Fredericksburg for our last vacation without a little one around. We stayed at the Trois Bed and Breakfast, which was located across from Enchanted Rock. Here is a recap of our weekend:

Friday afternoon when we got there we went to explore the grounds on Trois Estate and found many interesting things...
This is was our room, it was very cozy!
Kenneth on the balcony/roof of our room.
View of Enchanted Rock from Trois Estate.
This is the door to the underground chapel and grotto.
 Underground chapel
Grotto (sadly because of the drought is was very low)
 Birdcage Dinner Theater

The world's largest cap gun museum (who knew it would be at Trois Estate, apparently the owner never grew up)

The Safari Room (the most dead animals I've ever seen in one place)

Saturday morning we started off the day with a hike and picnic at Enchanted Rock. I have never received so many compliments from passer-byers who most of the time gawked and stared at my large belly.

After several breaks, we finally made it to the summit, elevation 425 feet!
The cave... we only made it half way into the cave, and then we realized my belly would not fit into the deeper cave opening :(
After Enchanted Rock, we headed to Fredericksburg to walk Main Street and then had dinner at The Nest.
Dessert at Clear River Pecan Co. Homemade Ice-cream!
After dessert we drove about 15 minutes to the historic Luckenbach dance hall. The band that played was great and it was fun dancing the night away.
Sunday morning we went to church at St. Mary's. It was beyond beautiful!
Before the drive home we ate at Hondo's, a local diner that had a laid back porch with live music even on Sunday!
Thank you Jeff for making this whole weekend possible!
Thank you Kenneth for stopping every hour during the drive, putting up with my swollen feet and for being the best husband ever! I can't wait to be a parent with you :)
