Spring is here!

Felicity is having a lot of fun outside these days. She loves to swim, swing, slide, look at plants, and ride trains! When she is not outside she likes to play at her new standing play center with her friend Jackson. Felicity is also now a speedy crawler, finding new things to play with across the house.

Food!

Felicity has recently started eating food and loves it! 

She has tried so far:

rice cereal, 

oatmeal cereal, 

carrots, 

squash, 

and peas.

The best part is that I get to use one of my favorite Christmas presents, The Baby Bullet! It is so easy to use, I love making all of her food and I get to save money too!

Lenten Journey

I read a passage this morning from Joel and I thought it was the perfect piece to start the Lenten journey, encouraged and looking toward Easter. 

Yet even now, says the Lord, return to me with your whole heart, with fasting, and weeping, and mourning;

Rend your hearts, not your garments, and return to the Lord, your God. For gracious and merciful is he, slow to anger, rich in kindness, and relenting in punishment. 

Perhaps he will again relent and leave behind him a blessing, offerings and libations for the Lord, your God.

Blow the trumpet in Zion! proclaim a fast, call an assembly;

Gather the people, notify the congregation; assemble the elders, gather the children and the infants at the breast; let the bridegroom quit his room, and the bride her chamber.

Between the porch and the alter let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep, and say, "Spare, O Lord, your people, and make not your heritage a reproach, with the nations ruling over them! Why should they say among the peoples, 'Where is their God?'"      ~Joel 2:12-17

5 months old :)

I can't believe Felicity is 5 months old, time sure does fly!

November Highlights!

November was a busy month, full of family, fun, and football.

 To start off the month right, Kenneth took me to the Taylor Swift concert at Minute Maid Park. We were surrounded by a million 13 year olds screaming their heads off.

 In the middle of the concert, she came to another stage that was on home plate, right below our seats. She sang three songs there on a rotating tree. It was pretty sweet!

 My cousin and her family came in town from Minnesota. It was so much fun seeing her and her kids, they have grown so much!

 Gigi with three of her nine great-grandkids, Trent is the only boy. She is very worried the Steely name is going to disappear some day with all the girl great-grandchildren.

 Felicity at her first UT football game! She did not take her eyes off the jumbotron the entire time.

Felicity got a new cousin! Mia Beth was born on November 21 at 7 in the morning. She was 8 lbs 6 oz, beautiful and healthy :)

Halloween

Just in case you can't figure it out... Kenneth was Christopher Robbins, I was Pooh, and Felicity was Piglet. Her cousins were Tigger and Eeyore, they were all so precious! 

 

Felicity is 2 months old!

Time sure does fly when you are enjoying a beautiful gift from God!
